About the Event 

Pick up a working code from the internet – use your creativity – transform the code to give a different output – get recognized for your work - embark on a career in Software Development.

 

Transformers aims to create a level playing field for all engineers from all streams to come and participate in a coding competition which will test your creativity irrespective of your programming experience.

Event Details 

Eligibility

Students from B.Tech/B.E. (third and final year) and M.Tech (both years) from all the branches

Timeline

The timeline of the competition will vary in the month of November to February for all the colleges.

Once the registration process ends on campus, it will take a fortnight to conclude the competition.

A winner will be chosen by ShortHills Tech (SHT) out of all the submissions across all campuses. Prize money to be announced soon!

*These are the minimum prizes we have kept for now. If we see overwhelming participation from the student community, (we expect that to happen) prize money can shoot up!

Rules and Regulations

  • This is not a team competition. Students need to register themselves individually.

  • One student cannot participate through multiple IDs. Though one can make multiple submissions.

  • Only full-time B.Tech/BE/M.Tech candidates can participate

  • There is no restriction on the number of students that can participate from a college

Evaluation Criteria

You will be evaluated on the output of the transformed code which focuses on:

  • Quality

  • Quantity

  • Use Case

  • User Experience

Terms and Conditions

  • SHT reserves the right to cancel the candidature of anyone found using malign practices.

  • If at a later stage, a candidate is found to have used any unfair practices during the competition, their internship/PPI will be canceled.

  • SHT reserves the right to publish your codes on its Github channel. The moral rights (Right of attribution) of the author will be protected.

  • Students submitting their codes for this competition shall not submit the same code for other competitions and vice versa.

  • While posting your codes on social media handles, students have to give credits to the organizers of the event in their posts.

  • Any decision of the competition judge, including interpretation, is final and there will be no re-evaluation of the same.

  • SHT reserves the right to modify, add any component/rule of the competition at any later stage in order to bring in more clarity and transparency. Students are requested to visit the competition page in order to keep themselves updated regarding any change.
